Mission Statement:  

Atlanta Female Riders, Inc. is passionately committed to empowering women in motorcycling through comprehensive education, supportive mentorship, and active community involvement. Our mission is to inspire women to conquer obstacles and fully embrace the exhilarating freedom of riding the open road.

Terri and Shirley share a powerful passion for empowering women to ride motorcycles with confidence, safety, and pride — encouraging every woman to get on her bike and enjoy the freedom of the ride.

  • Hi, I'm Terri "Chaser" Benn, the founder of Atlanta Female Riders, Inc. I take great pride in riding my 2022 Road King, Lyric. Riding isn’t just an activity; it's a core part of who I am. Over the past 13 years, I've traveled countless miles and created unforgettable memories—going to Louisiana, Mile Marker 0, New York, and even Windsor, Ontario, Canada! Along the way, I've built strong friendships and gained confidence on two wheels.

     Whether it's a quick ride around town or a bold adventure across state and national borders, my mission remains unwavering: to enjoy every mile, ride with intention, and return home safely. Rider education is the cornerstone of my beliefs, as skill, awareness, and preparation can save lives. Keep this in mind: no ride is more critical than the one that brings you back home.

    Hi, my name is Shirley “STORM” Vaughn, the President of Atlanta Female Riders. I love to ride and enjoy every mile of the journey. My passion for riding comes from the freedom of the open road—the peace, the adventure, and the incredible people I meet along the way. I believe every woman can experience her own kind of freedom, on or off the bike, but for me, riding is truly my life.

    One of my favorite quotes says it all: “Fate whispers to the RIDER, ‘You cannot withstand the storm.’ The RIDER whispers back, ‘I am the storm.’”

  • Marsha "Mz Natural" Stevenson

    Treasurer

    Marsha Stevenson was born and raised in a small town in South Carolina and discovered her love for motorcycles at 33. After earning her motorcycle endorsement at 36, she joined both co-ed and all-female riding clubs, where she found a deep connection to women’s empowerment in motorsports.

    A passionate advocate for women riders, Marsha actively participates in motorcycle rallies and supports empowerment in a traditionally male-dominated sport. Professionally, she works as an Account Specialist in a government municipality, where she is dedicated to community education and service.

    Outside of work, she enjoys crafting and plans to share her riding journey on social media to inspire others—Marsha dreams of exploring America’s landscapes while encouraging women to embrace the freedom of the open road.

  • Lisa "LeeLee" Henderson

    Secretary

    Lisa Henderson is a proud mother and grandmother, and the owner and operator of both a daycare and a travel agency. She has a strong passion for working with people and supporting their personal and professional growth.

    With a focus on organization, communication, and teamwork, Lisa enjoys helping organizations operate smoothly and effectively. She is honored to be part of Atlanta Female Riders and looks forward to serving and contributing to the continued success of the organization

  • Cynthia " First Lady" Whitley

    Volunteer Coordinator

    Cynthia “First Lady” Whitley was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and has been riding motorcycles for four years. She is proud to be the first woman in her family to own and ride a motorcycle, inspiring the next generation—especially her nine grandchildren, who love watching her hit the road.

    Cynthia earned her rider name, First Lady, during her 20+ year career in the trucking industry, where she was often the only woman on the job and known for stepping up to lead. A dedicated team player, she enjoys being part of organized groups and volunteering wherever she is needed to support the mission and uplift the community.

Having worked across industries—from motorcycles and lifestyle brands to nonprofits and community initiatives—I thrive where creativity meets strategy.
